Who We Are
Mangal Foundation is a compassionate non-profit organisation rooted in the cultural heart of Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Established with the unwavering belief that every individual — regardless of their circumstances — deserves dignity, care, and opportunity.
We actively extend our helping hand to ashrams, orphanages, care centres for the elderly, and women in need across the region. Our work is guided not by obligation, but by love — the same love that has kept our volunteers returning, year after year.
Whether it is providing meals, supplies, educational support, or simply being present — Mangal Foundation shows up. Every single time.
The Guiding Light
Founder & Driving Force
Behind every great act of service is a person with an even greater heart. Mangal Sambhaji Patil — fondly known as Mangal Ma'am — is the embodiment of selfless dedication. A retired teacher and a lifelong community builder, her journey from the classroom to the foundation of a charitable institution is nothing short of inspiring.
Having spent decades shaping young minds at Tararani Vidyapeeth Usharaje High School in Kolhapur, she channelled the same nurturing spirit into building Mangal Foundation — an organisation that now touches hundreds of lives across the region.
Her belief is simple: "When we give with a full heart, the universe gives back tenfold."
On the Ground
Mangal Foundation is proudly active at multiple locations, reaching those who need it most. Here is a glimpse of the communities and causes we proudly serve.
We regularly provide educational materials, food supplies, and emotional support to the children and residents of Devghar Ashram School. Our volunteers visit periodically to engage, encourage, and uplift the community living here.
The Maay Savli Care Centre is home to elderly residents who need day-to-day care and companionship. Mangal Foundation brings warmth, supplies, and festive celebrations to ensure no one here feels forgotten or alone.
From providing essential supplies to offering skill-development opportunities, Mangal Foundation stands beside women facing hardship. We believe in empowering women to build independent, dignified lives for themselves and their families.

A women's enterprise centre dedicated to skill development, entrepreneurship, and financial independence. Through training workshops, mentorship, and cooperative initiatives, we help women build dignified livelihoods.
